MAME - The main emulator to run Multiply arcade standards in one software.
Mame.exe is a DOS based version to be used with a "Frontend", which can be set to joystick control navigation.

Mame32.exe is a win version to be used standalone. has a GUI which will need a mouse to navigate.

MAMEWAH - This is a super nice Frontend. It works in arcade resolutions and works nice with just joystick movments.
It is compatible with MAME and anyother emulator or PC software.
